About
Jacqueline S. Armes,LMFT
Hi, I'm Jacqueline S. Armes, a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) providing therapy in both English and Spanish.
Helping Children, Teens, Adults, and Families Heal and Grow
For over 20 years, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating some of life's most difficult challenges. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or a major life transition, therapy can help you find clarity, healing, and lasting change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based treatments. I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel understood, supported, and empowered with practical tools they can use in everyday life.

I specialize in helping clients who are experiencing:
Trauma and PTSD
Anxiety and panic

Relationship challenges
Life transitions

DBT Skills for Emotional Regulation
I am also intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT helps individuals develop practical skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, tolerate distress, and build a life that feels worth living.
DBT can be especially helpful for teens and adults who struggle with emotional overwhelm, impulsivity, anxiety, or self-destructive behaviors.
EMDR Therapy for Trauma and Anxiety
As an EMDRIA-Certified Therapist, I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. EMDR helps individuals process difficult life experiences that continue to impact their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Through EMDR, we can work toward reducing the emotional impact of painful experiences and creating new ways of responding to life's challenges.

Why I Do This Work
I became a therapist because I believe people are capable of incredible growth when they have the right support. I have witnessed children develop confidence, teens learn to navigate intense emotions, adults heal from trauma, and families rebuild stronger connections.
Therapy is not about fixing what is broken. It is about helping people understand themselves more deeply, develop effective tools, and move toward the life they want to create.
Let's Connect
Finding the right therapist matters.
I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can discuss your goals, answer your questions, and determine whether we are a good fit for working together.
You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I would be honored to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.
